Cut-out

Hellooo!

Last night i started this paper cut out (above)

& today i decided it wasn’t finished yet…

I carefully started cutting tiny leaf shaped cuts in the black areas.

Until it looked like this! Its really just an experiment for my sketchbook but i thought id share it on here too!

This is part of my final project – im experimenting around the word ‘playful’ at the moment.

The quote is from Joseph Hellers ‘Something Happened’

Thanks for loooooking!

(by the way the drawings are photocopies of a child’s drawing :D !)

Lynch.

Whilst clearing up i found this doodle i had done on an inside of an envelope.

I think I was watching an old interview of David Lynch whilst doodling it (interviewed by a young Johnathon Ross) -> link here

(well worth watching if your a fan!)

Today I finally accepted my offer at Falmouth university, im not sure why I was hesitant to accept it as i know that’s where I want to go -

I guess it finalizes everything I’ve been working for!

Bye again!

Toot Toot

Just doodling and suddenly this owl appeared from the water coloured bushes.

Night, owl.

Uh, oh…

I’m Working on my FMP (Final Major Project) at the moment,

we had to write up our own breif + come up with our own theme.

Mine is ‘The world through a child’s eyes’.

I guess im a bit stuck at the moment which is why i created this artwork -

but it also shows the natural way we loose the ablitly to think in that

abstract, imaginative way children do as we grow older.

Its frightening.

Birthday Card

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

I made this birthday card by creating a drawing with a fine line pen,

scanning it in and placing imagery behind it on photoshop.

I really like the way it turned out and am just creating some more imagery in this style!

Hope she likes it:)

Patience

Hope you enjoyed!

A stop motion animation i created for a college project.

The Animation revolves around being impatient and eventually ‘finding’ patience.

(which is quite ironic since you have to be very patience to create a stop motion animation!)

The film has 698 frames overall, enjoy!

I must do some more animation soon :-)

The Hello Project

Hello!

The Hello Project is a fun social experiment combining the word ‘hello’ an post-it notes, click the link to see how to get involved!

Heres a few of mine:

Rainy Days

Rain, rain go away – you’re messing up my hair!

Some quick imagery i made on a rainy day

Materials: fineline, magazine, acrylics, scalpel.

The Smiths

Lyrics from the smiths song Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now

Illustrated cut-out, part of my overheard conversations Moleskine!

Materials: fineline, scalpel, photoshop!

‘Everything you imagine is real’ Pablo Picasso

Hello there, thanks for coming!

I created this image based on the quote ‘everything you image is real’

The trees are actually an A2 sized paper cut i made (below),

the rest of the imagery was either found from magazines or Google – i put it all together using Photoshop adding reflections + clouds!
